The Standard Opinion on America's Govt?
April 2nd 2008 07:10
Viggo Mortensen says:
I regard members of our present government as sociopaths without moral compass or social conscience. But who doesn’t?
I say:
Nicely put, and I love the way he just tacked that on as an after-thought in his interview.
According to some people, George W. Bush is the worst pesident in US history, which is quite a claim.

they had a parody of how hollywood actors are always outspoken against the government and had a group led by susan sarandon called the Film Actors Guild (FAG)?
well viggo could definately be a member of FAG haha
he may well be right but in general actors having political opinions always reminds me of the indestructable martial arts marionettes of FAG in Team America lol

I am in no way a fan of the obscenity-loving, anti-intellectual South Park or the people behind it... and I think that acronym is vile.
Viggo's words only make me admire and respect him more.

i think the southpark creators are clever guys, the show won a GLAAD award for outstanding tv for "recognizing and honoring the mainstream media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the LGBT community and the issues that affect their lives" in an episode
sorry if you found the acronym offensive, that was not my intention, perhaps it makes more sense in the context of the film, i understand parody as humour isnt everyones cup of tea
viggo has as much right as anyone to voice political opinions, the fact that he is an actor just reminds me of a particular joke from a film, thats all i was trying to say

ive found recent episodes of "The Family Guy" really distasteful, i think that show is my personal limit with regards to finding parody funny . . . i wondered if jodie foster or rosie odonnel actually saw the episodes which questioned their gender because of their sexuality because it just made me cringe
