Plotinus says:
Let the body think of the spirit as streaming, pouring, rushing and shining into it from all sides.
I say:
I don't see the body and the spirit as two separate things - why would you choose to be at odds with yourself? Your body dictates spirit, in a sense - it could be argued that your bodily experience creates, sustains and reinvents whatever experiences you have with your spirit.
However, I do like the multiplicity of verbs summoned up to represent the dynamic of the spirit interacting with the body - it evokes vital images of vigorous wrangling with your internal processes in a creative fashion.

Actually, you might be right... it all depends on your interpretation, doesn't it? How do you interpret his treatment of the two?

So the Spirit whatever it is, would be a subtler counterpart of our body. Like the mental body, there would be a spirit body.
Anyway so the Spirit and Body are not distinct really.
