That seems a bit of a slam to those of us bloggers with a music theme. Although, you certainly have a right to your opinion.
Your analogy could use a bit of work though...music and talking both utilize words while I've not once seen a construction worker pirouette to get his drill bit.

I was actually quoting [an anonymous author] there as the Hugo quote brought it to my mind. I personally think that using one medium to explore another is very healthy and should be encouraged - I love it when people talk about music! Commentary on music makes you listen in a different way.
