I say:
What constitutes a beginning? Is every beginning not a continuation of some other thought? Is it all I ever do - begin? Begin to question, begin to elucidate, begin to begin? Or am I always in the process of finishing off a process, so that my writing is a system of endings, organized by an infinitely expanding repertoire of concluding thoughts? Perhaps I am perpetually in the middle, in 'the body' of my work, eluding both endings and beginnings in my appetite for capturing the next strain of thought, the next 'fragment', the next beginning or ending?
